About the Eau Claire Artist Development Center
The Eau Claire Artist Development Center (ADC) was created for artists who want to turn their creative work into consistent, sustainable income.
Many artists make exceptional work but struggle with the business side - pricing, marketing, product photography, writing listings, or maintaining consistent sales. The ADC exists to remove that friction.
We provide practical education, shared resources, and a supportive local community so artists can spend more time creating while building a business that actually works.
Through workshops, tools, and optional selling support, the ADC helps artists develop the skills needed to run a modern creative business.
Artists who work with the ADC learn how to:
-
Price their work with confidence
-
Build a memorable brand
-
Take product photos that stand out
-
Write listings that convert
-
Run simple, repeatable marketing
-
Sell more consistently - both online and locally
Our goal is straightforward: help local artists build sustainable businesses doing work they care about.
About the Founder
The Artist Development Center was founded by an Eau Claire local, Catherine Davis, with nearly two decades of experience working with businesses ranging from early-stage startups to global companies.
In her professional career, she serves as an executive leader at a multinational software company, where she works on product strategy, business growth, and scaling complex organizations. Across her career she has also served as a strategic advisor and business consultant, helping companies turn ideas into sustainable, revenue-generating products.
She holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin - Parkside and an undergraduate degree in Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire College of Business.
The ADC was founded to bring practical business knowledge and structured support to local artists - many of whom have strong creative skills but limited access to the tools, systems, and guidance needed to build a stable creative business.
The mission is simple: help artists make great work - and build businesses that last.
